From October 7, 2022 post.
Today, Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH5) recognized National Manufacturing Day and the importance of manufacturing to the economies of Ohio and the United States. Ohio is home to 668,000 manufacturing jobs, with the Fifth District making up 77,522 of those jobs. As of 2021, Ohio held the fourth largest GDP across all fifty states.
“Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District is home to over 77,000 manufacturing jobs, making it the largest industry in the region and a significant part our economy,” said Latta. “As our nation struggles with the high price of gas and groceries, our manufacturing industry continues to work hard to ensure our shelves are stocked, homes are furnished, and critical parts of our supply chain remain available. Today, on National Manufacturing Day, we recognize the importance of manufacturing in our communities, our state, and our nation.”
