From November 11, 2022 post.

Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH5) today released the following statement to commemorate Veterans Day and to honor the millions of military veterans in Ohio and across the country:

“On Veterans Day, we honor and pay tribute to the 18 million veterans across the U.S. who answered the call to serve our country at home and abroad. Because of their courageous and heroic actions, we’re able to live freely in the greatest nation on Earth. As we pay tribute to our veterans, may we strive to honor their service and sacrifice not just today, but every single day of the year.

“To our veterans, whether in Ohio or elsewhere: thank you for being willing to lay your life on the line for our freedoms and your fellow countrymen. We are forever grateful for your service.”

Latta served as a Veteran Guardian for the Flag City Honor Flight this month to Washington, D.C. from Toledo, Ohio. Latta spent the day with Vietnam veteran and Continental, Ohio native, Ed Bidlack. The Honor Flight program provides veterans a chance to visit the memorials built in D.C. that commemorate their service and remember the sacrifices so many made for our nation.
