RENO, Nev. — Nevada U.S. Senate candidate Captain Sam Brown released the following statement in response to Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter:
“Going from Jack Dorsey to Elon Musk is a clear upgrade. This is a chance to get social media right — away from targeted censorship and towards a future of accessibility,” said Captain Sam Brown.
Sam Brown has been targeted by Twitter censors on multiple occasions. In July 2021, a tweet from Captain Sam Brown celebrating Independence Day was censored and labeled as “sensitive content.”
In the months that followed, additional tweets that contained pictures of Brown were similarly labeled and censored, eventually leading to the “permanent” suspension of Brown’s Twitter account without warning. Twitter later reversed the action, claiming it was a “mistake.”
“I can’t wait for Twitter to become open source so we can learn how deep the shadowbanning and algorithm manipulation really goes,” said Captain Sam Brown on Twitter, Monday.
