RENO, Nev. — Republican U.S. Senate candidate, Captain Sam Brown, says it's time for Adam Laxalt to confirm a one-on-one statewide televised debate for the June primary.
“I know where I stand on the issues, unlike the career politicians who flip flop the moment we push back. I’m ready to debate Adam Laxalt and provide to voters the transparency they need to make an informed decision in June,” said Captain Sam Brown. "The debate should be televised, so that all voters have a chance to see it."
So far, the Laxalt campaign has yet to firmly commit to any of the multiple debate invitations outstanding – a ducking-out tactic that Laxalt previously employed (more than once) in his failed 2018 gubernatorial race against Steve Sisolak.
"Our campaign has raised millions of dollars from organic grassroots support, ensuring that Nevada voters will have a choice when they vote in the June primary. We are determined to keep up the pressure until Adam Laxalt finally commits to a televised debate. Hiding behind D.C. endorsements and ducking debates are career politician tactics that voters will reject. They want a senator who stands on their own two feet," said Captain Sam Brown.
Almost 7 months into his campaign, Adam Laxalt's website infamously still avoids any issues page where voters can see where he stands on the issues.
Last week, Captain Sam Brown spoke at length on the issues on Nevada Newsmakers. The interview can be watched here.
