RENO, Nev. – Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Office of public information issued a press release on February 27, 2022, concerning Caleb Rogers, 33, an LVMPD officer whose been employed with the LVMPD since 2015. Rogers was arrested and transported to CCDC, where he was booked for burglary with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon. This is an ongoing investigation, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
"This is what happens when there's no leadership at a department like Las Vegas Metro—and the sheriff, Joe Lombardo, is too worried about politics and power and is not focused on his job. It's also why crime has been exploding in Las Vegas." Said Joey Gilbert, GOP Gubernatorial Candidate. "Now we have officers of his department committing felony robbery-like actions on casinos. This is outrageous; it's an outright disgrace."
