RENO, Nev. — On Friday, Captain Sam Brown's campaign for U.S. Senate publicly released details on its first quarter fundraising results. The Purple Heart Afghanistan Veteran's campaign confirmed that it will report raising over $1 million dollars in its first quarterly financial report. No funds were raised from political action committees.
The full report will be filed with the Federal Election Commission next week.
Official campaign statement:
"This finance report makes it clear that all Nevada Republicans have a real choice for taking on the hard left policies of Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto. Nevadans representing every Nevada county have donated to Sam Brown’s campaign in just the first 90 days. This grassroots campaign has received over 12,000 donations across all fifty states, as well as American military personnel serving overseas, and our average donation is less than $75. This leaves no doubt that Sam Brown’s campaign is a force to be reckoned with in the primary and in the general election."
Statement from Sam Brown:
"I’m so grateful for the support and enthusiasm represented by this early milestone. This fledgling grassroots campaign has grown to become a leader of a national movement to restore power where it belongs - to the people. The people of Nevada and across this country deserve new representation that will listen to their priorities and values. I don’t come from wealth or power. I come from a career of service and sacrifice. I come from small town America. I come from a middle class that believes in putting duty to country first, and in abiding by our enduring Constitution. With this movement behind us, we’re going to flip Nevada red and restore real representation to its people, who have been left behind by the political elites."
