"President Biden ought to take this opportunity to do the one thing that I think would begin to heal this situation, and that is to recount the mistakes that he made: the lack in judgement, the dismissal of proper and good analysis...he should take ownership of that and let the American people know that the job of being President of the United States, the Commander-In-Chief of our military forces, is beyond his ability to do competently. He ought to resign today," said Capt. Sam Brown, Purple Heart Veteran and Nevada U.S. Senate candidate.
Brown also called on Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley to resign because of the hastened and reckless withdrawal from Afghanistan.
"They have allowed themselves to become a political apparatus of an administration that is incompetent," said Capt. Sam Brown. "We know the intelligence assessments were there that stated this would be a disaster...people who've been on the ground knew this was inevitable. There's not been a lack of human intelligence to know that this was going to happen."
Captain Sam Brown (ret.) is a Purple Heart Veteran running for U.S. Senate in Nevada. In 2008, his humvee hit a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. Brown suffered severe injuries and spent the next three years in recovery and rehabilitation. He lives in Reno with his wife and three children, where he owns a small business that provides critical medical services to Veterans.
