Illinois

Schaumburg, IL – Inflation remained near record highs in July with prices across the board 8.5% more expensive than they were a year ago. This is a radical shift from January 2021 at the beginning of President Biden’s administration when the CPI was only 1.4%.

Illinois’s 8th Congressional District Candidate Chris Dargis released the following statement on continued high prices impacting Illinois families:

The Biden Administration and Washington Democrats have promised a reduction in inflation for months, and yet prices remain near record highs. It will only get worse with the tax and spend bill my opponent will vote in favor of when he returns to Washington. Enough is enough. It’s time to tackle the problems Illinois families are facing instead of piling on.
