The Smiley for Washington Senate campaign today announced that it has received the endorsement of the Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) Federal Political Action Committee. LCR is the nation’s original and largest organization representing LGBT conservatives and straight allies who support fairness, freedom, and equality for all Americans.

"Tiffany Smiley is a dedicated mother, wife, and triage nurse who has fought tirelessly to achieve the American Dream for herself and her family,” said LCR President Charles T. Moran. “Tiffany never gave up on her husband when he lost his eyesight after being wounded in Iraq, and she advocated every day for her husband to be able to continue to serve his country. Tiffany will take this same fight and optimistic outlook to Washington, D.C. to help Washington families be prosperous and to find solutions to the unique problems they are facing. This passion and drive is what Washingtonians need in Congress. Log Cabin Republicans is proud to endorse Tiffany Smiley in her bid to represent Washington state in the U.S. Senate, knowing that she will advocate for small businesses, work to achieve economic recovery and growth, fight for our children’s education, hold our government accountable, and protect our individual liberties."

Through her “Agenda for Recovery and Reform,” Smiley is committed to improving the lives of every Washingtonian – regardless of race, gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation. Smiley is a staunch supporter and advocate for equal rights for all Americans, and she will fight to make the American Dream more attainable for everyone.

“I am deeply honored to have the endorsement of the Log Cabin Republicans,” Smiley said. “When I was fighting for government reform, I was fighting for every Democrat, Republican and independent service member and their family. In the same way, my fight today is for every single Washingtonian, including those within the LGBT community, and I look forward to protecting their equal rights and improving their lives when I am in the Senate.”
