Governor Steve Sisolak: Governor Sisolak Orders Flags to Be Flown at Half-Staff in Honor of Fallen LVMPD Officer Truong Thai

Today, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak ordered flags of the United States and the State of Nevada to be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol and State public buildings and grounds from sunrise until sunset on Friday, October 28, 2022 in observance of the funeral service honoring fallen Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Officer Truong Thai.

“Officer Thai inspired countless of police officers in Southern Nevada through his mentorship, integrity and leadership during his decades with LVMPD,” said Governor Sisolak. “We can never say thank you enough to our brave first responders who risk their lives to protect our communities – sometimes, making the ultimate sacrifice. Kathy and I are devastated for all those who loved Officer Thai, including his daughter Jada.”
