Does the Vice President Stand With Victims or Sexual Assault Perpetrators?

Albuquerque, NM — Today, Vice President Kamala Harris will accompany Michelle Lujan Grisham at two campaign stops in Albuquerque.

Here are extremely important questions that need to be asked today as the Vice President campaigns with New Mexico’s governor. Previously, the Vice President has tweeted her support of victims and her record of prosecuting sexual assault perpetrators (see tweets at the bottom of the press release).

Does the Vice President still believe we should stand up for victims like James Hallinan and perpetrators like Governor Lujan Grisham should face consequences?

  • Vice President Harris, will you condemn Michelle Lujan Grisham’s gross (predatory?) behavior in sexually assaulting an employee? And then continuing to victimize him by forcing him into an NDA so he couldn’t speak out about it?
  • Vice President Harris, you have worked in your career to ensure sexual assault attackers face consequences, why should Michelle Lujan Grisham not face those consequences?
  • Vice President Harris, are you in favor of letting abusers enforce NDAs against their victims for political cover? If not, will you speak out about Michelle Lujan Grisham doing this to her victim?
  • Vice President Harris, will you stand up and say “I believe James Hallinan,” or do you only believe victims when it is politically convenient?
  • Vice President Harris why won’t you believe Governor Lujan Grisham’s sexual assault victim?
  • Vice President Harris, why are you letting Michelle Lujan Grisham brush her sexual assault victim under the rug?
  • Vice President Harris will you have the conversation with Michelle Lujan Grisham on how disgusting it is that she sexually assaulted her own staffer?
  • Vice President Harris, Michelle Lujan Grisham has bullied her sexual assault victims into silence, are you ok with this behavior?
See below for past tweets from Vice President Kamala Harris regarding sexual assault victims.
