I recently visited Gavilan Canyon in Ruidoso, NM, where the McBride Fire devastated homes and families. We need to make sure we care for our forests and our state lands. Failing to responsibly manage forest fire fuel loads leads to dangerous and explosive wildfires.
Krysty and I send our prayers to our firefighters and first responders, like the Red Cross volunteers I met, and to the families affected by wildfires throughout our state.
