The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's cross country team secured third place at the OWU Invite, held by Ohio Wesleyan University on October 3 at Liberty Park. Competing in a 6k race, the Lady Cougars finished with 104 points, trailing behind Ohio Wesleyan and Ohio Northern.
Sophomore Tammy Liplin delivered a strong performance, securing seventh place with a time of 23:06.2. Other notable finishes for MVNU included Louisa Hallabrin in 11th place with a time of 23:20.0, Ashley Yoder in 24th at 24:00.6, Ella Wigal in 28th at 24:11.1, and Lauren Warder in 43rd at 24:27.4.

Looking ahead, MVNU will participate in the JennaStrong Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College on October 17 at 4:30 p.m.
