Former president Donald Trump endorsed Republican candidate Kari Lake to be Arizona’s next governor.
Secretary Katie Hobbs released the following statement:
“Arizonans are sick and tired of our government being run by conspiracy theorists — like Kari Lake — who wasted our taxpayer dollars and breached voters’ trust in their effort to discredit the 2020 election,” said Katie Hobbs. “What we need now more than ever is a leader who is focused on transparency and getting things done. As Arizona’s next governor, I’ll focus on delivering accountability and results for everyone, and will tackle real issues that affect our everyday lives.”
This endorsement follows months of political posturing to overturn the 2020 election, Trump’s visit to Arizona to spread the Big Lie, and Kari Lake’s echoes of these conspiracy theories.
