Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) issued the following statement after receiving the endorsement of the Omaha Police Officers Association (OPOA): "I'm humbled to receive the endorsement and support of the OPOA. During my time in Congress, I have introduced and supported legislation that champions the work of our front line defenders, including the Back the Blue Act, LEOSA legislation, and the Kerrie Orozco Act. "While others, including one of my opponents, seek to limit resources, remove qualified immunity, and march in riots against our local law enforcement, I will always stand in solidarity with them. I thank our men and women in blue for their support and look forward to continuing my work for them.
