The American Conservative Union (ACU) Foundation recognized Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH5) as a top conservative leader in Ohio in 2020 with the Award for Conservative Achievement. According to the ACU, scores are based on a combination of requirements, including voting in favor of conservative legislation and introducing legislation that follows the ACU’s conservative agenda.
“Northwest and West Central Ohioans elected me to be their voice in the House of Representatives, and I am proud that my record reflects the values of the citizens who call Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District home,” said Latta. “I have continued to vote to protect the most vulnerable, limit the federal government, and ensure Americans are not suffering from overreaching regulations from big government. I am grateful to be recognized by the ACU for the important work that my Republican colleagues and I are doing in Congress.”
Lawmakers who receive a score from the ACU are evaluated on a zero to 100 percent scale. 100 percent represents a perfect score perfectly aligned with the ACU’s definition of conservative principles. Latta was ranked among the highest in the Ohio delegation to the United States House of Representatives.
