Alaska Republican U.S. Senate candidate Kelly Tshibaka today issued the following statement regarding the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates:

“No matter who they are or where they work, people should get the COVID shot only if they choose to do so, not because Joe Biden forces a needle into their arm.

“It’s great news that many workers will no longer fall under Biden’s unconstitutional mandate, because no one should have to choose between a shot and their job. But it's devastating that we will continue to experience healthcare staffing shortages in Alaska and across the country because of Biden's COVID shot mandate.

“We've witnessed a national tragedy as Americans have lost their jobs, medical autonomy, and civil rights at the hands of Joe Biden, who tries to rule as if he were a tyrant, rather than someone who derives his power from the consent of the governed.”
