Today, the U.S. Department of Labor reported that inflation in the month of May rose five percent, the highest amount since the summer of 2008. Additionally, CNBC reported that, "a separate gauge that excludes volatile food and energy prices increased 3.8%...That was the fastest pace since May 1992."

"In a few short months, President Biden and the Democrats have already spent trillions of dollars and now the bill is coming due for Michigan residents who have to pay rising costs for groceries, gas, building materials, and other products. This is especially difficult for seniors and families," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "I will be working to stop President Biden's six trillion dollar budget and other partisan spending proposals from Democrats that would lead to more inflation."
