Today, President Joe Biden announced a plan that will release one million barrels of oil a day from America's strategic petroleum reserve for six months. The U.S. Energy Information Administration says the United States uses 21 million barrels of oil a day and 40 percent of that is gasoline.
“President Biden is draining our country’s strategic reserve of oil, which we need for real emergencies, and using it for his own personal emergency. Biden is desperate to cover up the high costs of his failed energy policies and he is putting national security at risk to do it,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “This administration’s energy policies have caused pain for Michigan residents, and it must do more to allow American energy development and pipeline construction.”
