John Moolenaar for Congress: on Public Health Emergency Extension

Michigan

The Biden Administration announced it is extending the COVID-19 public health emergency, that was set to expire on April 16, by an additional three months. This extension comes after President Biden said, "Thanks to the progress we have made this past year, COVID-19 need no longer control our lives," during the State of the Union address on March 1.

"President Biden just extended the public health emergency because it allows him to put more rules on the American people. He refuses to trust Americans to decide what is best for them and their families. It is long past time to end the restrictions and mandates, including the vaccine requirement for truck drivers crossing the border, the mask mandates on public transit, and the outrageous mandate that forces toddlers in Head Start to wear masks at pre-school,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. "The Biden Administration needs to focus on the inflation and energy crises that are hurting so many families and stop imposing pandemic policies on hardworking Michigan residents.”
