Today marks the second anniversary of the flooding that caused the Wixom Lake and Sanford Lake dams to fail. Congressman John Moolenaar marked the anniversary with the following statement:

“In the past two years, the people of this region have come together in generous and incredible ways to recover and rebuild from the flooding. We have rebuilt homes, businesses, roads, and parks, but there is still more work to do, and I am confident it will get it done. In Congress, I successfully secured more than $100 million in federal funding for recovery and rebuilding and this funding has helped spur the recovery. I know this region has outstanding community leaders who will finish the work of bringing the lakes back."
