Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that Christian Brothers University will receive a $74,801 grant from the National Science Foundation for teacher education in the STEM disciplines.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“I’m pleased to announce this National Science Foundation grant to provide a stronger foundation in the teaching of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This is an investment that will pay dividends.”
Congressman Cohen is a longtime supporter of engineering and computer science education. He has cosponsored several bills that would improve funding for and access to STEM programs across the country, including legislation that created grants for encouraging underrepresented minority or low-income students to pursue STEM careers.
