On Tuesday, January 25, 2022, Dave McCormick and U.S. Senator Ted Cruz held a joint rally at family-run business, Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays. With over 300 attendees who came out in support of Dave’s candidacy, both McCormick and Cruz gave remarks to an electric crowd on the importance of restoring conservative values and combatting the extreme left’s agenda by electing Dave McCormick to be the next U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania.
In his first public campaign rally, Gulf War combat veteran and successful businessman McCormick highlighted how he is the only battle-tested, Pennsylvania true candidate that will restore the American dream and create a better, stronger Pennsylvania.
“I’m running for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania because I grew up here, and Pennsylvania needs a fighter in Washington who will fight for the people of this great Commonwealth,” said Dave McCormick. “If I’m elected I will fight for energy policy that creates energy independence. I’ll fight for pro-growth economic policies. I’ll fight to bring back manufacturing to the Commonwealth. I’ll fight to push back on China and return supply chains to the United States. I’ll fight to keep our borders secure, and I’ll fight for Pennsylvanian parents and kids dealing with school-enforced mandates. That’s what I’ll fight for if I’m your Senator.”
McCormick continued detailing what inspired him to run for Senate, “As a combat veteran, when I saw what happened in Afghanistan under Joe Biden that really made me think ‘what can I do’. Because it’s not just Afghanistan, there is weakness showing up in a lot of different ways that is undermining America. It’s inflation, rising debt for our children, an open border and rising crime. I want to make the American dream I know and experienced happen for the people of Pennsylvania. I will be the fighter I promise you to be.”
Senator Cruz endorsed McCormick in his run to be the next U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania last week, and expanded upon why he chose to endorse Dave in this critical Senate race.
“America is in crisis and we all know it. But revival is coming. That’s why I’m here supporting my friend Dave McCormick,” said Senator Cruz. “This guy’s a badass. What I look for when supporting a candidate is someone with a strong foundation that knows conservative values and will defend our constitution. Someone that understands free enterprise and will stand up against the socialist left that wants to tear it down. But what I want more than anything is backbone - that’s Dave.”
Cruz continued, “What we need in Washington is happy warriors that aren’t afraid of the garbage they shoot at you.
