Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) released the below statement after voting against H.R. 4, the House Democrats’ latest proposal to federalize elections, give more power to unelected career bureaucrats, and erode states’ rights:

“The ability to vote is one of the most sacred rights we have as citizens of our great republic. It’s a privilege to be protected. Attempts to centralize election control in the hands of the federal government and unelected bureaucrats will do everything but that. The Constitution is clear—these rights are reserved to the states.”

Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011. He is a member of the House Appropriations Committee.
