Congressman Steve Womack (R-AR), alongside Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Ranking Member Sam Graves (R-MO), Natural Resources Committee Ranking Member Bruce Westerman (R-AR), and other House Republican members, urged President Biden to immediately reconsider radical partisan policies that are making already growing U.S. supply chain issues significantly worse.
Congressman Womack said, “The supply chain breakdown and crisis at our ports are hurting American families and businesses. Right now, we're seeing increasingly empty shelves and higher costs of goods. I urge President Biden to address these bottlenecks and inflation instead of pushing policies that will exacerbate these issues.”
The letter specifically calls on President Biden and House and Senate Democrats to halt discussions on their budget reconciliation bill, which aims to reshape the social fabric of our nation. It also highlights the need for prioritization of real infrastructure solutions, moving goods and people safely and efficiently throughout the U.S. and globe, and reversing skyrocketing inflation.
