Today, Rep. Lisa McClain (R-MI), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement on the situation in Ukraine.
“It’s absolutely heartbreaking to see the images coming out of Ukraine this morning. I stand with the people of Ukraine against this blatant Russian aggression and violation of international law,” said Rep. McClain. “President Biden’s weak sanctions on Russia were clearly not enough to prevent this invasion from taking place. I encourage the President, EU and NATO to respond swiftly and decisively with aggressive sanctions that freeze assets and ban entry for all Kremlin oligarchs and their families. Vladimir Putin must be held accountable for his violent actions.”
