WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) released the following statement after President Joe Biden nominated Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court:
“I congratulate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on her nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court and I am willing to meet with her in person as I have with all other nominees during my tenure in the Senate. When Judge Jackson came before the Senate last year for confirmation to a lower federal court, I voted against her because of serious concerns with her commitment to interpreting the law as written. Those concerns remain, but I look forward to a rigorous and fair process."
