Today, Congressman John Moolenaar voted against legislation that would ban many of the firearms commonly owned by Michigan residents.

"This far-left gun ban violates the Second Amendment and the rights of law-abiding Michiganders to defend themselves. Today’s extreme proposal would ban many of the firearms legally owned by Michigan residents and make them illegal,” said Moolenaar. "Many Democrats would ban all private gun ownership if they could. That’s why I will never stop fighting for the Constitution and the rights of Michigan residents."

Last month, Congressman Moolenaar voted against legislation that would violate Americans’ right to due process by funding states’ red flag laws.
