Two members of Walorski’s staff, District Director Zachery Potts and Communications Director Emma Thomson, were also killed in the accident.

"Jackie Walorski took pride in representing the people of Indiana and fought every day for what was right for her district. She always had a charitable spirit and before being elected to office her courageous philanthropy changed the lives of thousands of children. I will miss Jackie’s friendship, steadfast leadership, strong faith, and passion for public service,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “My prayers are with the Walorski family and her congressional team as they mourn this tragic loss of three special people.”
