Washington –Congressman John Rose (TN-6) released the following statement regarding the letter he signed to the White House regarding Nurse Staffing Agencies:

“I was proud to join nearly 200 of my colleagues on both sides of the aisle in a letter urging the White House to investigate potential price gouging by nurse staffing agencies. An investigation into this issue will help nurses keep more of what they earn instead of the staffing agencies taking advantage of the pandemic to pad their profits at nurses’ expense, and thereby add to the ongoing nursing shortage,” said Congressman Rose. “What this letter does not do is cap nurses’ salaries; I oppose capping nurses’ salaries. We live in a free country, and nurses deserve what the free market will pay them.”
