Biden’s Inflation Hammers Michigan Families

Michigan

This morning, the Department of Labor announced that inflation is at 8.5 percent. Michigan families and seniors have been experiencing inflation above 7.0 percent for seven straight months, and above 5.0 percent for 14 straight months. This is some of the highest inflation in 41 years.

"America has gone into a recession under President Biden and the historically high inflation has caused Michigan families to spend hundreds of dollars more each month for essential items. On Friday, Biden and the Democrats are planning to ram through a partisan bill that will spend another $700 billion on top of the extra trillions they have already spent in the last 17 months. Michigan families are paying the price for this spending binge and Democrats should immediately abandon Friday’s bill,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

"Biden and Congressional Democrats must start listening to Republicans who have been sounding the alarm about inflation for over a year. When Republicans led the House, the economy was strong with low inflation and affordable energy," added Moolenaar.
