Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) sent a letter to the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator to draw attention to an issue some residents in Middle and Southwest Georgia are having when trying to request their free COVID-19 testing kits through www.covidtests.gov.
“With the surge of COVID infections, we need to empower Americans to prevent the spread of the virus. Knowing if you are infected can help keep you and your loved ones safe. The Biden Administration is stepping up to the challenge by providing people, who request it, with free COVID-19 testing kits,” said Congressman Bishop. “However, we learned that some apartment residents and those using rural addresses and PO Boxes are not able to order kits through the website www.covidtests.gov. I have brought this to the attention of the White House in order to quickly fix this problem so that everyone has access to these testing kits.”
