CONGRESSMAN BISHOP MOURNS THE PASSING OF DR. ANTHONY PARKER

Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) issued the following statement regarding the passing of Albany Technical College’s longtime president, Dr. Anthony Parker:

 

“Dr. Anthony Parker was not only a beloved member of our community, he was also an institution in his own right. He was a good friend to me, my staff, and many in this community.

 

“He was a consensus builder who created, promoted, and realized a vision for Albany Technical College that was indispensable to Southwest Georgia. The legacy of his service, kindness, and leadership will resonate through the lives of the students, faculty, and families whose dreams and potential he nurtured and supported.

 

“Vivian and I wish to express our deepest condolences to his family. Albany, Georgia, and the world are better because of the countless lives impacted by Dr. Anthony Parker.”
