Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02), Chairman of the U.S. House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies, released the following statement on his new subcommittees on the House Agriculture Committee:

“I am very pleased to join the General Farm Commodities and Risk Management Subcommittee as well as the Livestock and Foreign Agriculture Subcommittee on the House Agriculture Committee. These new subcommittees as well as my current duties as the Chairman of the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee, will expand the platforms from which I can support Georgia’s and our country’s thriving agriculture industry.”
