Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) released the following statement after the death of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Howard Liebengood:
“It pains me to learn we have lost another Capitol Police Officer, Howard Liebengood, after the insurrection of the Capitol last Wednesday. We are grateful for his service and protection of the Capitol grounds for many years. I send my deepest condolences to his loved ones as they grieve this unimaginable loss.”
