Chestertown, MD — Today, Heather Mizeur, Democratic nominee in Maryland’s First Congressional District, announced she has been endorsed by the Professional Fire Fighters of Maryland (PFFMD), representing more than 10,000 active and retired firefighters and EMS professionals in the state.

The PFFMD is an umbrella organization that represents all 25 affiliates of the International Association of Fire Fighters within the state of Maryland. This endorsement adds to the growing list of labor organizations supporting Mizeur’s campaign, including the AFL-CIO, AFSCME (Maryland Council 3), SEIU, Communications Workers of America, and UFCW (America’s Food and Retail Union).

“I’m deeply honored to have the support of these brave first responders, who willingly risk everything to keep us safe,” said Mizeur, who resides with her wife Deborah on their farm in Kent County. “In the most dangerous situations, they have our backs – and I will always have theirs.”
