Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI) released the following statement on “Operation Allies Refuge,” the relocation program, which is slated to begin later this month, for Afghan interpreters and translators who assisted American Forces during the war in Afghanistan.

“We cannot leave behind the interpreters and translators who worked alongside our troops, supported operations, and saved the lives of countless Americans serving in Afghanistan. I support the decision to move these American allies and their families to another country or US territory so they can live peacefully and securely until the vetting and background check process can be properly completed.”
