Chestertown, MD – Heather Mizeur, Democratic nominee for Congress in Maryland’s First District, announced today that multiple Grammy Award winner Melissa Etheridge will play a benefit concert in the First District next month in support of the campaign.
The special one-night performance at the STAR Centre in Havre de Grace, Harford County’s premier performance space, will take place Saturday, October 8 at 7 p.m., with proceeds benefiting Heather Mizeur for Congress.
Mizeur and Etheridge have known each other since the late 2000s. The singer/songwriter supported Mizeur’s past campaigns and has appeared as a guest on Mizeur’s podcast.
“Melissa is like a sister to me,” Mizeur said. “It’s thrilling to be able to bring such a dear friend and amazing musician to perform here in the First District. We are bringing true star power to the STAR Centre, and people are in for a real treat on October 8th.”
