Democrat Dr. Cindy Banyai addresses the comments that Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) made at the CPAC convention in which he encouraged Republicans to call Sens. Sinema and Manchin to “console them” for being attacked by other Democrats for not dismantling the Filibuster:

"Let's be 100 percent honest about what Byron did," said Dr. Cindy Banyai after reviewing the comments from CPAC. "Byron showed that he doesn't actually care about trying to accomplish anything in Congress. He is just there to be a Republican patsy."

"Byron told conservative Republicans, the same people that hate Democrats, hate AOC, and think that Democrats are actively trying to destroy America - to call up U.S. Senators and pretend to be nice to them. He told them to be thankful for not stopping the extremely partisan filibuster of these bills, and then he fundraises off these lies."

"Byron did this for laughs," said Banyai.  "Byron did this to paint AOC as the bad guy again, and he did it to sell out the people of Florida that need things like the Infrastructure Bill, the Voting Rights Bill, and the American Recovery Plan."

“Representative Donalds’ is not worthy of being a representative for the people of Southwest Florida because he does not actually care about the people of Southwest Florida. Politics is nothing more than a game to Representative Donalds and he thought he could have fun at CPAC being two faced.”
