“We are only the land of the free because of the brave men and women who have put their lives on the line to protect ours.
"To everyone who has answered the call to serve our great nation: thank you for your courage and sacrifice for a cause bigger than any of us.
"I know this Veterans Day may be difficult for some veterans, particularly for those who served in Afghanistan, and for their families.
"Our message to you is that your mission was not in vain. You kept us safe and kept terrorism off of our shores for the past twenty years. We are eternally grateful to all who have served our nation and all those who continue to serve.” - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
