Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) today announced that the City of Dubuque will receive a $500,000 National Endowment of the Arts grant. Hinson advocated for Dubuque to receive this funding.

“I’m excited to announce that the City of Dubuque will receive a $500,000 National Endowment of the Arts grant and I was proud to advocate on the city’s behalf at the federal level to bring these tax dollars back home. This will help support Dubuque’s vibrant downtown area and tourism economy.

"Big cities hire professional grant writers to get a leg up in this process and bring more federal money to urban areas – so that is what I’m doing for our district. I’ll continue doing all I can to ensure your tax dollars are reinvested in Iowa in responsible ways.” - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson

Background

As American Rescue Plan funds are being allocated, Hinson will fight to ensure that as many federal dollars as possible come back to Iowa, rather than allowing Iowans’ tax dollars that were already going to be spent to be sent elsewhere.
