Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) announced the U.S. House of Representatives will accept limited member requests for Community Project Funding in appropriations bills for the upcoming fiscal year.
“I want to make sure as many Philadelphia nonprofits as possible are aware of this opportunity. I have set a deadline of April 5 for applications for CPF projects for the 3rd Congressional District,” Evans said.
“CPF will proceed with numerous reforms in place, including barring for-profit companies from receiving the grants. There are several rules to ensure transparency, accountability and good use of the funding, so I encourage any nonprofit that’s interested to review the rules and application form as soon as possible,” Evans said.
Both the rules and Evans’ online application form are available at evans.house.gov – click on Services, then click FY2022 Appropriations Requests.
Evans represents Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District, which includes Northwest and West Philadelphia and parts of North, South, Southwest and Center City Philadelphia. During Evans’ four years in Congress, his office has helped to return to or save more than $6.5 million for Philadelphians from federal agencies such as the IRS, Social Security Administration and Department of Veterans Affairs.
