Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) released the following video statement on the Protecting Family and Small Business Tax Cuts Act, legislation she helped introduce to make key provisions included in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent for working families and small businesses.
"The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act spurred economic growth, helped working families keep more of their hard-earned paychecks, and gave small businesses the certainty they needed to succeed.
"That’s why I helped introduce the Protecting Family and Small Business Tax Cuts Act, to make key tax cuts from the 2017 tax reform law permanent.
"With inflation delivering a pay cut to workers and families struggling to afford everyday goods and services, we should help people continue to keep as much of their own money as possible rather than sending more of their paycheck to Washington.
"These tax cuts will also help ensure America remains competitive against our adversaries, as we work to get business and manufacturing back in rural America and out of China.
"I’m proud to support this legislation and will continue fighting for commonsense, pro-growth economic policies."
