Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) released the following video statement after completing her fifth round of visits to all 20 counties in Iowa's First Congressional District.

“Hey everyone! I just completed my first 20 county tour of 2022 and my fifth 20 county tour as your Congresswoman.

"I go to every county in our district at least once every quarter to get out there and meet with families, farmers, small business owners, veterans, health care professionals, as well as community organizations and leaders. We’re meeting folks where they are, to hear directly about their daily lives, so that I can tell your stories in Washington, DC.

"From holding in-person town halls in Dubuque and Black Hawk counties, visiting shop floors in Buchanan County, walking down Main Streets in Bremer, Poweshiek, and Tama counties, to receiving updates on flood mitigation projects in Linn County, we will continue to crisscross our district because there is nothing more valuable to me than hearing directly from Iowans.

"I collect those stories that I hear directly from you out on the road and then I bring those back with me to Washington, DC, so that I can push back against policies that are hurting our country and our communities, while advocating for real solutions to the challenges that you are facing every single day in Northeast Iowa.

"It is an honor to represent you. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our first 20 county tour this year and shared their concerns and stories with me—it’s the honor of my lifetime to serve you in Congress." - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
