Before the global pandemic reached our shores and forced the closing of small businesses, The United States enjoyed one of the strongest and most robust economies in our entire history. The tide of outsourcing was being reversed and jobs were returning. Failed trade deals were being renegotiated for the best interests of America and we were well on the way to prosperity for all Americans. Unfortunately through COVID-19, Democrats and their leftist allies were able to take advantage of a crisis and force our economy to its knees, all for political gain. Small businesses were forced to close their doors while large corporations remained open. We saw our society carved up into those who were essential and those who were not. Make no mistake, every job that puts food on the table is essential. Now that a vaccine has arrived and infection rates are on the decline, we must resist further calls to keep businesses closed and hard-working Americans at home. We have to begin to create a climate that allows for Americans to work and for businesses to flourish.
