It is of the utmost importance that the United States maintain a strong military and I will fight to make sure our troops have the resources necessary to keep us safe. As the most powerful nation on earth, we have a duty to defend Americans from our enemies and to protect our allies, not police every corner of the globe. China and Russia are not slowing down, and we need to ensure our military stays the strongest fighting force in the world to defend the American people from threats both foreign and domestic should the need arise.
