U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) announced today that the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York has awarded $65,000 to restore a housing complex in Haledon that supports developmentally disabled individuals.

“Every American deserves to have a roof over their head. This federal money we’ve secured today will help house several of our neighbors in Haledon in a safe, structurally-sound building,” said Rep. Pascrell. “Congress created the federal home loan bank Affordable Housing Program to assist Americans in finding safe and secure affordable housing. With these Affordable Housing Program funds, my friends in Haledon will have a fully rehabilitated and accessible home for years to come.”

Rep. Pascrell works closely with federal agencies and our local government and private sector partners to secure housing grants for New Jersey residents. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rep. Pascrell has helped pass legislation that has already provided millions in federal housing grants to our state.
