Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced a $299,999 grant to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for research on the effects of a specific genetic mutation (GATA3) on incidence rates of cancer and health outcomes in multi-ethnic populations from the National Cancer Institute.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“This funding, identified as a high-priority research project by the National Cancer Institute, will examine critical genetic mutations and lead to a better understanding of cancer rates and outcomes. It may well save lives.”
