Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), who met with Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs leaders last week to discuss crime in Memphis, today announced a $175,502 grant to the University of Tennessee to strengthen the medical examiner-coroner system.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“This funding will improve the accuracy and efficiency of our medical examiner services and is an investment in this sadly needed operation.”
