The Smiley for Washington campaign released a series of three ads today. The first two in the series, “Sirens” and “Doing Better,” feature former Patty Murray voters explaining direct to camera why they will be casting their ballots for Tiffany Smiley this election. The third ad, “Unacceptable,” was filmed at two Seattle area homeless encampments, highlighting years of failed policies that have hurt Washington communities.

These ads are part of a multi-million dollar statewide ad buy that start today and will run well past ballots being mailed out on October 21st.

“Washington’s rampant crime and homelessness is forcing voters to reconsider their options,” said Elisa Carlson, Communications Director for the Smiley Campaign. “After thirty years in the Senate, what does Patty Murray have to offer? As these ads show, Washingtonians aren’t impressed by roundtables and committee hearings - they want action! Tiffany Smiley has laid out her Agenda for Recovery and Reform for Public Safety and our Most Vulnerable - the blueprint for her six years in office. But she is more than just talk. Tiffany has been to the encampments, picked up the needles and listened to the residents. She’ll take that knowledge with her to D.C. and work with her colleagues to actually achieve results for both the most vulnerable among us and our communities.”
